This is a completely new and innovative quick release coupling for compressed air, says the company. The new ESI coupling of Prevost uses compressed air on the supply side of the coupling to sustain the first locking phase. Only when the compressed air is purged it will automatically click to the second phase and release the plug. The user has to perform just 1 action, push the button. Depending on the volume of compressed air, the purge and release time will be a few seconds for a 10 meter 3/8-inch hose and practically nothing for an air tool.
