It was designed to eliminate odor and impurities from drinking water by using an ozone injection system. Dixie-Southern helped engineer and design the large-diameter stainless steel pipe ranging from 42 to 84 inches in diameter, and made recommendations pipe fabrication to ensure the highest quality and mechanical integrity, says the company. Dixie-Southern utilized an automated, high deposition submerged arc process to weld all circumferential and longitudinal seams on the pipe, producing a high quality, uniform weld with excellent aesthetic quality and mechanical strength.
